■ Sunglasses for listening to music GENTLE MONSTER is a sunglasses brand from South Korea. The heroine who played the role of the heroine in the Korean drama "My Love from the Star" was worn by her girlfriend Jun Ji Hyun, so it became very popular in Korea and became a hot topic in Japan.

"HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" was born in collaboration with such GENTLE MONSTER.

In a nutshell, "HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" is sunglasses (or glasses) that allow you to listen to music. If you connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth, you can listen to music from the speakers mounted on the temple (vine).

"HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" is equipped with a function to detect wearing, and when you wear it, you will hear a "pico" sound to recognize the wearing. All you have to do is play the music on your iPhone.

Unlike earphones, "HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" makes a sound near the ear, so I thought that the sound might be quiet until I used it. However, when I actually used it, I was able to listen to music at the same volume as earphones.

The speaker mounted on the vine is a large diaphragm of 128 square mm, so it is possible to secure enough volume to listen to music.

"HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" does not block your ears like earphones, so you can talk without discomfort while listening to music. Some people may be concerned about sound leakage, but in practice you don't have to worry about it.

I actually played the music at a distance of about 50 cm, but I couldn't hear the music playing from Eyewear II. However, if you increase the volume, you can listen to music, so it depends on the viewing volume. In a quiet place, it is necessary to adjust the volume so that it does not bother others, or stop using it in a library, etc., and use it in good manners.

The vine is equipped with a touch sensor. -Double tap on the left: Start Siri-Double tap on the right: Play / Pause You can perform these operations. Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't have a dedicated application, so tap operations cannot be customized at this time.

When you receive a call to your iPhone, double-tap either the left or right vine to pause the music being played and make a voice call. I actually tried it, but I was able to make a comfortable call without any noise.

Earphones press on the inside of the ear, but Eyewear II does not, so Eyewear II is less tiring. It weighs about 45g, which is not much different from wearing ordinary sunglasses or glasses. You won't feel too tired after a long period of use. However, when it comes to immersiveness in music, earphones are more expensive.

"HUAWEI X Gentle Monster Eyewear II" seems to be suitable for BGM-like listening.
