Dynabook's new product "dynabook V" is a premium Pen notebook PC with the theme of "5in1". Equipped with the latest Intel 11th generation core Tiger Lake (TGL), it has a built-in deformation mechanism and has achieved a weight reduction of less than 1 kilogram.
This fall, Tiger Lake is equipped with the 13-inch deformed notebook "V6 / 8" introduced here, the "F6 / 8" which is also a deformed type with a 15-inch display, and the 13-inch clamshell "G6 / 8". 3 series.
"5in1" of V6 / 8 series is "NotePC style" of clamshell + touch operation, "Tablet style" in tablet state, "Monitor style" in tent shape, "Pen style" using stylus, 180 It is how to use the 5 patterns of "Flat style" that opened every time.
It feels great to have the display open 360 degrees.
The V8 has a Core i7-1165G7 with 16GB memory and 512GB SSD for around 240,000 yen, and the V6 has a Core i5-1135G7 with 8GB memory and 256GB SSD for around 210,000 yen.
Both V6 / 8 are equipped with a 13.3 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 dots) touch and pen input compatible, non-glare IGZO panel. The body color is premium black only.
The screen has a 16: 9 ratio, but the frame is narrow and the body area is small.
The interface is equipped with Thunderbolt 4 type C x 2, USB 3.1 type A x 1, HDMI x 1, and headphone / microphone terminal. There are two cameras, with 920,000 pixels on the top of the display and 8 million pixels on the back. Face recognition is possible.
Type A is also equipped with HDMI as standard, so you can rest assured.
The camera at the back of the keyboard has 8 million pixels and becomes the rear camera in tablet mode
The wireless function is Wi-Fi 6 with built-in Bluetooth 5.1. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a trendy 5G modem. Equipped with Harman / Kardon speakers, it also supports stereophonic reproduction according to the Dolby Atmos standard.
The battery is equipped with 53Wh and is driven by JEITA 2.0 for 24 hours. The body size is 303.9 x 197.4 x 17.9 mm and the weight is 979 g.
In addition to the inclusion of Microsoft Office 2019, it is also convenient to have a large number of apps installed, from Cyberlink's still images and video editing to New Year's cards and data recovery.
The red of the hinge is the point
There is an air intake in the center of the bottom and a speaker hole in the front.
You can also specify the degree of eco and BIOS in the dynabook setting
When I took it out of the box, the first thing I felt was "small" and "light". The actual measurement of the test machine weighs 948 grams, which is not surprising, but it is light, probably because of its good weight balance.
The top plate has a matte finish, and the dynabook logo and hinges are red, which is pretty cool. In addition, the keyboard backlight is also red, which is astringent.
The matte finish with the mirrored logo and the red hinges are cool.
The red keyboard backlight seems to be popular on the plane
With this lightness, you can easily hold the LCD with one hand even in tablet mode by rotating the LCD. It comes with a Wacom active electrostatic pen and has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. In addition, I am happy that I can easily use the pen with my own handwritten note application "TruNote".
TruNote is very convenient because you can do everything you want with a pen here
Most of the recent ultra-lightweight notebooks have only a type C x 2 interface, and there are many miserable machines that have only one left when the power is connected, but as expected, the Japanese dynabook V has all this, so there is no problem at all. If you want, I would like you to use a standard SD card slot instead of a micro SD for digital cameras.
I'm a little worried that the keyboard layout is small with the Japanese keys on the right hand and the half / full keys on the far left.
The inside of the body is neatly organized. Two fans with a diameter of 45 mm are included
We conducted a familiar benchmark. I have already measured the speed of TGL-equipped notebooks of several companies, but I overtook the fastest XPS 13 and ZenBook S so far, and the top value came out.
Cinebench recorded 889 on R15, 2106 on R20, and 5406 on R23.
The same is true for 3DMark, which is the highest record for TGL's non-dGPU machines, with 1727 for Time Spy, 4939 for Fire Strike, and 12113 for Wild Life.
If you continue the benchmark test, you will hear an exhaust noise, but if you stop it, it will stop and you will not be bothered. In normal use, the fans don't turn around, so you can use it with confidence even when you're on the go.
The exhaust port is installed so as to be hidden behind the hinge part, preventing the direct hit of hot air.
The speed of SSD is 2308MB / s for multi-sequential read and 1372MB for write, which is not the fastest speed in recent years, but it is a speed that is not a problem in use.
The battery capacity is 53Wh. At the highest performance, I ran the test at the highest LCD brightness and it worked for 3 hours and 12 minutes. When it was carried out with battery saving, it was driven for 5 hours. If you run for 3 or 5 hours under these conditions, you will not be worried as a mobile notebook.
The AC adapter has a 65W output, and the charging time is 35 minutes for up to 50%, 61 minutes for up to 70%, and 106 minutes for up to 90% under the same conditions. As expected, EVO certified machines, especially high-speed charging of up to half 30 minutes, are very excellent.
This is the intake, not the exhaust
The speaker unit is L-shaped and has a large volume.
SSD is M.2 full size (80mm)
When it comes to a 5in1 and lightweight model, it seems that the functions have been cut down and the usability is limited, but the dynabook V has a well-equipped interface, and its own application and Para-chan are pre-installed. You can do what you want to do immediately and there is no stress.
What's more, as a TGL-equipped notebook, the top speed comes out, which is very safe in case of emergency. When it comes to choosing between V6 and V8, SSD may be replaceable, but the main memory is directly attached, so be sure to choose V8 with 16GB!
